In compliance with the provision of the EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) – the General Data Protection Regulation – relative to the protection of individual concerning the treatment of the personal data, as well as the free movement of such data, Edizioni EL S.r.l. informs that the treatment of personal data (for example name, last name, personal and economic data, email address) will be based on principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency and protection of privacy and rights, in order to guarantee the protection of personal data and the security in the circulation of such data.

The Controller of personal data processing
Edizioni EL S.r.l., headquartered in 34018 San Dorligo della Valle (I – Trieste), Via J. Ressel n. 5, VAT number IT00627340326 in the person of its pro tempore legal representative, is the Controller of personal data processing, that means the subject that determines the purpose and modality of processing the data.

Legal basis of processing the personal data
Edizioni EL S.r.l., treats the personal data of the individual (data subject) on the basis of the consent expressed by them, that is in compliance with the law obligations, or in the exercise of a legitimate interest of the company for the protection of its own rights, as required by the art. 6 GDPR.
In the event of the failure to provide the personal data and the failure to consent the personal data processing in favour of Edizioni EL S.r.l., the Controller shall not allow to acquire and process the data subject personal data and, therefore to provide the offered services.

Purpose and method of personal data processing
Edizioni EL S.r.l., processes personal data in the exercise of its publishing activity for children, concerning the creation of books and toy-books for children and young adults, albums, non-fiction series, literary works, in various formats, printed on paper and digital formats.
Edizioni EL S.r.l., processes personal data with the aid of electronic tools or manual means, in confidentiality and security. The computer systems and software procedures used to operate Edizioni EL S.r.l. website acquire some personal data such as IP addresses or domain names of computers and terminals used by users, browsers, the operating system, addresses in URI / URL notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server – e.g. successful, error, etc. – (Navigation data).
Such data, necessary for the use of the web services, are also processed at the purpose of:

• Obtain statistic information on the use of the services (most visited pages, number of visitors per hour or day, geographical areas, ecc.)

The Controller might become aware of other parameters of the operating system and the user’s computer environment.
The Controller processes personal data for direct marketing purposes, to send newsletters, commercial or advertising communications on its commercial initiatives, for market research and surveys for the detection of satisfaction, as well as to carry out statistical analyses with anonymous data, organized in aggregate form. Marketing activities are carried out by email, newsletter and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

In any case, it is possible at any time to indicate the desired contact method and it is possible to oppose to the receipt of promotional communications, personalized or not, through all or only some of the communication channels indicated above. For marketing activities, the holder uses data such as name and surname, email, data relating to residence / domicile (city, province, postal code, country). Providing personal data for the marketing purposes indicated above is optional and any refusal allows in any case to request the desired product. It will always be possible to unsubscribe from the mailing lists by sending a request to the following email address: edizioniel@edizioniel.it.

Edizioni EL S.r.l. website uses the social plug-in Facebook, Instagram e Twitter. Upon clicking on the respective logo, the Controller’s website assumes the functions of the social network and the information entered is sent from the holder’s browser to the social network that stores it. Therefore, for information on the use of data by the social network, please refer to the respective privacy policies.

This privacy policy is provided exclusively for navigation on the sites of Edizioni EL S.r.l. https://www.edizioniel.com/ and https://100giannirodari.com/ and not for other websites that the user may possibly consult through specific links indicated on the Edizioni EL S.r.l. website. The privacy policy is provided in order to facilitate the user in understanding the use of the information collected.

Communication of personal data to third parties
Personal data is accessible to the staff of Edizioni EL S.r.l. duly authorized under criteria of necessity and are disclosed to third parties in the following cases:

In particular, the data subject has the right to obtain the information and exercise the rights specified below:

be informed about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data involved, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated, as well as the retention period;

obtain from the Controller the correction of inaccurate personal data concerning him/herself;
obtain from the Controller the erasure of personal data concerning him/her (right to be forgotten) where these are no longer necessary with respect to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed, or where additional conditions referred to in art. 17 EU Regulation no. 679/2016 apply and as long as that the conditions set out in art. 17, paragraph 3, EU Regulation no. 679/2016 do not apply;

obtain from the Controller the limitation of data processing when: a) the data subject disputes the accuracy of personal data, for the period necessary for the Controller to verify the accuracy of such personal data; b) the processing is unlawful but the data subject opposes to the erasure and requests instead the application of limitation measures or requests that the processing of the same takes place for the assessment or defence of his right in court;

receive the personal data concerning him/her in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable, format (right to data portability); in the case of the exercise of this right, the data subject will be entitled to request that the Controller transmit the aforementioned data directly to a different data processor;

oppose to the processing of personal data processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of Edizioni EL S.r.l., unless the existence of prevailing legitimate binding reasons of Edizioni EL S.r.l. to proceed with the processing (e.g. the exercise or defence of a right in court). In addition, the data subject may object to the processing of the personal data in the case that the conditions of Art. 21 EU Regulation no. 679/2016, paragraph 2 (processing for marketing purposes) apply.

the data subject has the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time. In this case, he/she can contact Edizioni EL S.r.l. directly, by sending an email to edizioniel@edizioniel.it . The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the treatment based on consent before the withdrawal.

Period and methods of storage of personal data
The personal data provided to Edizioni EL S.r.l. will be kept for the purpose of carrying out the agreed service for the time necessary to carry out the same. Conservation can take place through:

• storage within the hardware and / or software systems (including cloud services and web platforms) of the Controller or its external managers;
• archiving in accordance with the Digital Administration Code; in this case, the owner will use only accredited persons pursuant to art. 29 CAD where the same is not carried out directly on their application systems.

For marketing purposes, the data are kept for the time strictly necessary for the pursuit of said purposes, within the limits allowed by the GDPR. The data subject may at any time request the cancellation of data and / or oppose to the processing of data for marketing purposes. Except in cases where in order to fulfil a legal obligation, to exercise or defend one’s right in court, Edizioni EL S.r.l is authorized to keep data for a different period.
